Kanye West is currently in the middle of crafting his anticipated 11th solo album following a controversial response of his duo albums from the 2024 "Vultures" series. To do this, he has taken his talents to Japan where he has been seen in recent months with few collaborators and his wife, Bianca Censori. With Japan being a usual landing spot for West in the midst of serious music prep, it was a Christmas gift that appeared on the screens of fans phones and laptops on Christmas Day as the YZY site was changed from the upcoming album theme "BULLY" to the new clothing drop featuring a full collection.
In a shocking turn of events for fans, the drop is a full collection including multiple colors and multiple items on sale. The drop includes colorways of white, grey, and black with each layered with Russian text that Ye has incorporated into past drops, and new vultures like logos. The collection features pieces including fitted t shirts, hoodies, loose fitting sweatpants, tight cuffed sweatpants, shorts and socks, all of which including blank options and with the new logos. The price tag remains with Ye's mission to keep his clothing affordable with a price tag of only $20 per item.
Giving supporters a chance to purchase the blank designs is a smart choice as it allows the same quality of piece that YZY is unique for giving whether it is the fit of the piece or the physical quality that comes with it, it allows for more of a chance to purchase.
The Christmas collection is in collaboration with the head of design Gosha Rubchinskiy who has had hands on the YZY drops in the 2024 Vultures era. With the new drop going live, fans are looking forward to hearing the word on new music or if fashion is currently the main priority for Ye. Either way, for $20, fans will more than likely at least be interested in what is dropping.
