The Pittsburgh Steelers might have a new quarterback in town—but their Hall of Fame legend QB isn’t impressed.

Terry Bradshaw, never shy with his words, had a lot to say about Aaron Rodgers. The former Packers and Jets QB, who shocked everyone by joining the Steelers for a reported final NFL season, has brought more controversy than comfort to Pittsburgh. And Bradshaw is officially out.

“What are you gonna do? Bring him in for one year? Are you kidding me?” Bradshaw barked during a recent media hit on ESPN Radio. “That guy needs to stay in California. Go somewhere and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.”

Yikes.

It’s not the first time Rodgers has taken heat for his spiritual retreats and philosophical musings—but this one felt personal. Bradshaw, a four-time Super Bowl champion and longtime FOX analyst, doesn't appear to want to make nice just yet.

Rodgers, currently in Steelers camp prepping for what he’s called his last ride, didn’t throw a cheap shot back. Instead, he gave a surprisingly measured response on NFL Network.

“I’ve known Terry for a long time. He’s a legend. But Terry, like a lot of people, doesn’t know me,” Rodgers said. “I’d love to get to know Terry on a deeper level. Maybe we can go chew some bark together.”

Rodgers laughed. But was the jab disguised as a peace offering?

This isn’t the first time Rodgers has had beef with a legend—remember the tension with Greg Jennings in Green Bay? But Bradshaw’s old-school mentality clashes with Rodgers’ introspective image, and Pittsburgh fans are split.

Steelers Nation is watching closely. Rodgers is in camp, slinging spirals, trying to earn black-and-gold respect. But will Bradshaw ever come around?

Don’t count on them lighting incense together anytime soon. But in a league driven by narratives, this one’s got teeth—and bark.
