Though their Viceland show has been off the air for a minute, you’d best believe the Bodega Boys Desus and Mero brought the heat on Sneaker Shopping
On this week’s episode of Sneaker Shopping, Joe from Complex went one-on-one with the Bodega Boys and you’d best believe Desus and Mero came ready to roll.
Taking over Stadium Goods in the heart of NYC, Desus Nice and The Kid Mero broke down some of their favorite sneaker trends, what they think of Kanye West and most importantly: Is the Nike Foamposite dead?
Spoiler alert: No, it very much is not.

Though the duo is probably best known for their semi-religious love of Timberlands, even going so far as to debut the brand’s FlyRoam in a series of Viceland commercials starring the old show’s mascot Juicebox the Bear, Desus broke down that he never wore the same pair of shoes twice over the show’s 100-plus episode runtime, a pretty amazing accomplishment by any stretch of the imagination.
And they didn’t stop there with the hot takes.
The Jordan 11? Notorious New York Knicks fan Mero loved them, to the point where he actually forced his dad to take him sneaker shopping for a pair as a child.
The Jordan 16? Not so much.
From there, the duo went on to discuss the market’s current signature shoe offerings, including LeBrons and Yeezys. While the Red Octobers may be the GOAT as far as signature shows are concerned, you can’t beat a LeBron soldier for the comfort, even if you’re just sitting at home playing 2k19.
All in all, the duo left Stadium Goods with nine new pairs of kicks, with highlights including a pair of LeBron ‘South Beach’ 9s, and my personal favorites, the Acronym x Nike Air Presto in one of the wildest colorways around.
Needless to say, maybe the Bodega Boys will rock some of these shoes on their new Showtime series, set to debut in the not too distant future. The brand is strong.
